NON-PROFIT COLLABORATIONS
Planting Trees for Hawaii
We are a Hawaii non-profit organization dedicated to empowering disadvantaged individuals and communities to harness the transformative power of nature by cultivating and planting trees. Our goal is to create a sustainable and greener world while fostering economic, social, and environmental well-being for all. We have worked throughout Hawaii, the Virgin Islands and east Africa. We collaborate with one of the largest nurseries producing breadfruit and avocado in Hawaii and have managed tree growing projects which have distributed more than 10,000 fruit trees since 2019.
Mission
We work on development projects to grow and freely distribute thousands of fruit trees (breadfruit, avocado, banana) to residents of Hawaii. Our purpose is to build capacity in the enhancement of the urban tree canopy to benefit local residents, particularly those from underserved areas. A positive impact will occur as they grown their own food. We will build upon our past experience of building locally managed nurseries, strengthen existing partnerships and community involvement.
Our primary project locations include the islands of Maui and Oahu, where we maintain professionally managed tree nurseries. However, we do ship trees interisland to Molokai, Lanai, Kauai, and the Big Island. We work collaboratively with local organizations and like-minded partners to maximize our ability to distribute trees. Together, we strive to plant dooryard trees to create a lasting environmental change.
